If you have been around education long enough, you know the dreaded phrase, the discussion board post. Many of your students feel the exact same way, but as we know, the discussion can be an excellent place to determine the students understanding on the topic. It may even be better than trying to use a quiz or exam to get the information.
It is all about how we use the discussion board, and whether we are able to inspire buy-in from our students. Try the method Ronda mentions such as the discussion master and let us know what you think.
