Jonah Perlin teaches legal practice and advanced legal writing courses at Georgetown Law as a full-time Associate Professor of Law, Legal Practice. Before teaching at Georgetown Law, Jonah worked at Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, D.C. where he specialized in complex civil litigation in the United States and abroad. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown in 2012, where he was an Articles Editor for the Georgetown Law Journal and a law fellow in the Legal Research and Writing Program. He received his A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University and his A.M. in Religious Studies from the University of Chicago Divinity School where he studied contemporary Jewish and Christian ethics.

Jonah started the How I Lawyer Podcast in January 2021 in order to share the stories from lawyers across the profession about what they do, why they do it, and how they do it well. The goal of the podcast is to create permissionless networking opportunities at scale for the benefit of future law students, current law students, new lawyers, and seasoned practitioners.

He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Debra and two young daughters.
