Martin talks to George Kinder about life planning and why it has become so popular in the UK. Kinder is a Harvard educated financial planner, philosopher, mindfulness teacher, author, and the founder of the Kinder Institute of Life Planning; an organization that has trained over 3000 professionals in 30 countries in what is considered the gold standard for adviser-client relationship skills. Among his six books, three are on money: The Seven Stages of Money Maturity, Lighting the Torch, and Life Planning for You, and one on mindfulness Transforming Suffering into Wisdom. His newest, A Golden Civilization will address the crises in economics and democracy and explore how to create a Golden Civilization that might last 1000 generations. The recipient of many financial industry awards, he was recently named by Investment News the first of the fifteen most transformational financial advisers whose vision most changed the financial planning industry over the past thirty years. His expertise has been widely featured in: The Financial Times, New Model Adviser, Forbes, Time Magazine, FP Today, The Journal of Financial Planning, Investment News, and The New York Times.
