Listening to Trauma. Body Intelligence. Somatic Experiencing and Attachment.

In this episode, I’m joined by Lisa Piluschak as we talk about how our bodies experience that which we can’t put into words. There comes a time when our bodies can’t hold onto our emotions and stay silent any longer. Our bodies are always speaking and we must learn to listen to them, even in times of trauma, otherwise it can lead to chronic pain and suffering.

Tapping into sensations other than pain. Nervous system resilience, rewiring, and attachment. Our life experiences shape how we experience pain and trauma. Meditation’s impact on trauma and putting you into a parasympathetic state.

Using somatic experiencing and attachment to move through trauma. You can’t mindset your way out of trauma.Tapping into the body to access meaning and the wholeness of ourselves without the filter of our injuries and wounds. The role of a somatic practitioner and the work they do. Building emotional resilience and relearning skills as adults. Deciphering experiences in the body. Dealing with PTSD and CPTSD and building the capacity to be with difficult experiences. Practicing orientation to space to find safety and relax into the environment.Giving language to your state of being. The difference between autoregulation and self-regulation.How Healy is impactful for healing journeys. Having self-compassion and loving ourselves through all stages of life.
