Kristy Hurt moved from Texas to New York City (not knowing anyone) in the late 90s and fearlessly pursued a role in retail finding a connection with the original founders of Kate Spade who brought her on as their top Manager in SOHO. A pinch-me moment for a small-town girl…From Kate Spade, Kristy once again, fearlessly applied to the prestigious LVMH fashion group where she pivoted from stores to corporate taking on an HR role, allowing her to cultivate amazing relationships in the luxury retail space throughout NYC and across North America.After many years with LVMH, she was ready to go off on her own, establishing Kristy Hurt HR Consulting.Her BIG pivot came in March 2020 where at the start of the pandemic lockdown she established a retail networking group bringing people together to share ideas on how they can navigate their next career move and make meaningful connections during this uncertain time.And thus, The Co-Lab was formed.
