Trump makes surprise appearance at Republican Convention

Last night, at the kickoff of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the delegates went wild when former President Donald Trump made a surprise appearance, sporting a white bandage on his right ear which had been shot Saturday night by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks in the failed assassination attempt.

In the middle of the song, delegates chanted “Fight, fight, fight,” as they mirrored the words Trump told the Pennsylvania crowd following the assassination attempt before the Secret Service took him to the hospital.

Trump picks Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his Vice President

Yesterday, Trump announced his VP Pick for the ticket — Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, reports The Epoch Times.

Vance is best known as a politician who is reticent about American participation in foreign wars, including the war between Ukraine and Russia.

In addition, Vance raised eyebrows among the pro-life community last week when he announced his support for the abortion pill mifepristone, in an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

VANCE: “On the question of the abortion pill, what so many of us have said is that, look, the Supreme Court made a decision saying that the American people should have access to that medication. Donald Trump has supported that opinion. I support that opinion.

“I think it’s important to say that we actually have to have an important conversation in this country about what our abortion policy should be. Donald Trump is the pragmatic leader here. He’s saying most abortion policy is going to be decided by the states.

“We want to make it easier and more affordable for young women and parents to have families to begin with. We want to lower housing costs, eliminate the surprise medical bills that so many families see after they have a baby. That’s the Trump and Republican approach to this issue. Meanwhile, Joe Biden wants taxpayer-funded abortion up to the moment of birth.”

As of 2019, Vance is a recent convert to Catholicism from a conservative Presbyterian denomination.

Christian firefighter died a hero, protecting family from Trump shooter

The 50-year-old man who was shot and killed on Saturday in the line of fire at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania, Corey Comperatore, is being hailed as a hero, reports NBC News.

Corey threw his body over his family in his final moments, protecting them from the gunfire. His daughter Allyson testified that “He was a man of God, loved Jesus fiercely, and also looked after our church and members as family.”

And Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro noted in a news conference Sunday that Corey was a girl dad, a firefighter, and went to church every Sunday.

Governor Shapiro added this.

SHAPIRO: “Cory loved his community. Cory died a hero. Cory was the very best of us. May his memory be a blessing.”

Remember what Jesus said. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.” (John 15:13-14)

A GoFundMe campaign to raise $7,000 has already raised $1,061,000 for the Comperatore Family.

The picture that shows the would-be assassin’s bullet

A photo captured by New York Times photographer Doug Mills at the Saturday shooting, clearly identifies the bullet heading past Trump’s head, after the former president tipped his head away from the bullet in flight.

After former White House physician Ronny Jackson examined the president’s wound, he told Fox News that “It did hit his ear. Obviously, you saw the blood. But he turned his head just at the exact right time, and it just took off a little bit of the top part of his ear.”

God spared Trump’s life

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich called the turning of the president’s head at the critical moment “providential.”

And New York Post columnist Miranda Devine wrote, “If you are a believer, you know that God spared Donald Trump for a reason.” And evangelist Franklin Graham said, “I thank God that former President Donald Trump is alive.”

Former Brazilian president also survived assassination attempt

Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro also affirmed that Trump “was saved … just as I was. … I understand that to be something that comes from above.”

Bolsonaro survived an assassination attempt in 2018 when a man bearing a knife jumped out of the crowd and stabbed him in the stomach, piercing his liver, lung and intestinal tract.

In Matthew 10:29-30, Jesus asked, “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.”

Trump: “God alone prevented the unthinkable”

Trump took to Truth Social Sunday, thanking the American people for their thoughts and prayers. He said, “It was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening.”

He explained, “I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear.”

Would-be assassin positioned just 140 yards from Trump

The would-be assassin was positioned only 140 yards from the Republican presidential candidate.

The New York Times reports a video showing citizens warning police of the shooter a full two minutes before the shots were fired.

Ukrainian priest prayed prayer of protection before Pennsylvania rally

A Ukrainian priest named Jason Charron provided a benediction before the rally.

He urged those gathered to pray for the former president because “There are people who want to kill him,” reports Breitbart.

Leftist MSNBC pulls “Morning Show” after assassination attempt

MSNBC, the left-leaning cable network, pulled the uber-left Morning Joe” show from the air on Monday following the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump over the weekend — fearing that one of its rabid anti-Trump guests may make an inappropriate comment, reports The New York Post.

The married co-hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, both of whom are staunch Joe Biden advocates, are expected to return to the anchor chairs today.

Judge dismissed Trump’s classified documents case

On Monday, U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon has dismissed Donald Trump’s classified documents case.

She ruled that the appointment of Special Counsel Jack Smith was unconstitutional.

Silver is up 41% over January prices.

And Bitcoin bumped up to $63,000 and change. That’s approximately a 50% increase since January.
