They founded Type.ai, received backing from Y Combinator, and have since been at the frontier of building a next-generation document editor. However, to ensure a robust and performant frontend, Type.ai needed to take advantage of many modern browser features.

Stefan Li is the CTO of Type.ai, and he joins the show to talk about the state of frontend dev, the service worker API, IndexedDB, the SharedWorker interface, Web Locks, and more.
