These letters are about the burgeoning of romance between us, an older woman and a younger man -- I retired and he still working in the rapidly growing tech world of 2000. I an Easterner, moved to California, he a West Coast native, born and bred. I one of three sisters from a close knit family, he an only child of two selfish parents. Yet from the first letter, I felt a kinship. I say “letters,” but not hand written or typed letters, they were emails, as both of us were experts on computers, often unusual in those ‘earlier days.’ How fast the time flies these days, especially as we age. This then is the story of my last great love. What does it prove? Perhaps what Shakespeare might have done had he had a computer. No, I do not compare myself to that great man, but only mean: look at the number of fabulous words he might have put on the same amount of pages in 8 years.
