TAKE AWAY FROM SUNDAY’S MESSAGE: God’s heart for each of us is to look more like Jesus every day. That doesn’t come by just sitting on the couch hoping we get into spiritual shape. It comes with working at spiritual disciplines that Jesus demonstrated for us. Dive into spiritual training with us!

Instead, train yourselves to be godly. Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. 1 Timothy 4:8 (NLT)

Trust the Coach (do what he says) Proverbs 3:5-6, Luke 9:23 “The job of a football coach is to make men do what they don’t want to do in order to achieve what they’ve always wanted to be.” – Tom Landry, former Dallas Cowboys coach

“Do you Trust me?”

Train to be like Jesus (expect transformation) 1 Timothy 4:8; 1 John 2:6

Immerse yourself in the Bible. Pray “God, help me to fall more in love with Your Word”

Tie yourself to the Team (don’t go it alone) Acts 2:42-47; Proverbs 27:17; Romans 1:11-12

There are no Lone Ranger Christians.

“The church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs. If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time. God became Man for no other purpose. It is even doubtful, you know, whether the whole universe was created for any other purpose.” – C.S. Lewis

LIBRARY: The library is completely cataloged on the computer. This means that you can find any book or bible study by searching the library computer which is located to the right of the fireplace. You can search by author, title or subject and the results will tell you where to find the book. We have some excellent books, like The Heavenly Man, by Chinese author Brother Yun. His story of persecution for sharing the Gospel in China is amazing, and he is much like the “Whack a Mole” game, popping back up again to share Jesus.
