This is the last Sunday of our Pentecost Worship Series, “The Unexpected Gifts of the Spirit.” The series has investigated the birth of the ancient church, drawing parallels to the same issues facing HTCC. It has been grounded in Paul’s letter to the church in Rome and his second letter to the Corinthians. It is also informed by a fantastic book study called Gifts of the Dark Wood by Eric Elnes.

Overview: Our journey into the Dark Woods initially begins as individuals when we awaken to our life’s path. However, it’s easy to get lost without the aid of companions. And it is often through these companions that we receive our clearest glimpses of ourselves and Heaven. Making the journey with a few wise companions on your side can keep you from getting lost and make the journey less lonely, even fun. A community of Misfits helps identify those who are as intentional about their journey and also care about yours too. We’ll explore the three types of misfits who may serve as powerful companions.
