Luis J. Rodriguez reading at the Unamuno Author Festival. The festival took place in May of 2019 in Madrid, Spain. This reading was recorded at the book store Desperate Literature. Luis J. Rodriguez is a chicano poet whose memoir “Always Running: La Vida Loca, Gang Days” was a national bestseller. In 2014 he was named Los Angeles poet laureate a position he held until 2016. He has been nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award, and has written everything from poetry and criticism to children’s books.
