Ever wonder why more medications can't be reused and given to other patients, if properly stored and protected? Dr. Elizabeth Lindquist wondered the same thing and set out to change the laws in her state of Illinois. With the early 2022 implementation of a drug repository program in Illinois upon us, Dr. Lindquist discusses what lead her to this cause and how she helped create this program, with lots of help from others. This is an inspiring story that could easily be better implemented in many states and save millions of dollars of waste, if properly utilized.
