In the April edition of the Politics of Sound, Iain Carnegie welcomes prominent journalist, author and regular contributor to Novara Media, Dalia Gebrial to the Politics of Sound virtual Record Shop for a deeply personal and reflective conversation about her life, activism, challenges and aspirations, while discovering her three all-time favourite albums.

Dalia emerges from the Politics of Sound Record Shop with an eclectic selection of albums by Yasmine Hamdan, Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse, and the Politics of Sound House Band are on hand as ever to perform their own version of tracks from her album selections.
This interview was recorded just before the death of the feminist, author and humanitarian, Nawal El Saadawi, whose influence on Dalia is discussed within the podcast.
