In this week’s episode I felt it was important to speak not only about Juneteenth, but being vigilant in knowing and telling our stories. It’s also important to be aware of distorted messaging used with intent to distract. The celebration of black people should not only be in response to our repeated destruction through oppressive thoughts and systems. We have to gain a better understanding of what this means so our conversations become more productive. I hope this episode aids you in gaining perspective, while still making you laugh.
