Have you ever thought about the “cost” of doing business, first name?
The financial, physical, and mental cost of it all?
After reading that 90% of new businesses fail and 10% of those fail within the first year and 45% of them within the first 2 years, I started asking myself, why?
So many reasons factor into this equation. Burning through money, lack of research, bad partnerships, ineffective marketing, and not being an expert in their niche.
With entrepreneurship among women, specifically, women like us on the rise - That’s a lot of people giving up.
In this week's episode of The Power of the Pivot, I share my perspective on the five stages of building a business and how those stages can help you keep going even when you feel like giving up.
As an artisan, creative, and visionary shiny object syndrome can distract you and take you off course on the road to your dreams. A lack of a clear vision, plan, strategy, and systems can also lead to failure. If you are currently in this head space, this episode will help you move past it.

Episode Highlights
0:39|Shifting your plan a bit and allowing yourself to be curious and flexible
1:21|Asking the Why’s, coming up with a plan, implement to test it, and creating a solid strategy
2:04|Not knowing enough or being curious enough to ask questions leads to the failure of new businesses.
4:08|Walk through the Five Stages of business building: defining, creating, scaling, habits, and automating
8:15|Pick just a few places to plant your flag in the sand, figure out the modalities where you can share your goods
12:29|Automate is a great resource that will help you develop some systems around those recurring tasks that occur on repeat.
