In Norwegian we have the helping verbs "skal, vil, kan, må" meaning "shall, will, can, must".

The general rule is this:

Helping verb + infinitve form (without the "å")

Examples: Han spiser => Han skal spise. Han sykler => Han må sykle.

Changing this to future (with skal): De drar på ferie. De går på ski i skogen.
