On today’s episode of Icons, we will introduce you to an iconic figure in Law Enforcement History. Lieutenant Joseph Petrosino was an Italian Immigrant who broke barriers in the New York Police Department in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Petrosino was a talented and determined investigator who set his sights on eliminating organized crime in Manhattan’s Little Italy. While Petrosino was assassinated at the peak of his career, his legacy lives on in both the Law Enforcement and Italian-American communities.
