People often ask why I train other birth and postpartum workers to do well in business, well that's the topic of todays conversation with Fiona Rea, IBCLC - training in the competition!
Fiona Rea is a mum to 4 beautiful breastfed almost all adult children with experience of birthing 3 at home and 1 in hospital. Since 2011 she is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and has been very much enjoying working in her own private practice for almost 13 years. Along with her IBCLC role Fiona has been a breastfeeding counsellor with Cuidiú for 21 years and she also works as Cuidiú tutor and childbirth educator. She has a love of learning and in 2021 she completed with honours her Masters in Advanced Facilitation for Health and Well-Being and in August 23 qualified as a Celebrant with Entheos Ireland. She runs online pre and postnatal workshops for birth and breastfeeding but more recently has been running workshops for the newly minted IBCLCS to give them guidance on setting up in their own private practice. This is something she is really enjoying as it’s a good refresher for her and also a nice way of networking with her colleagues.
