Australian Gold and Copper Ltd (ASX:AGC) managing director Glen Diemar joins Meagan Evans in the Proactive studio to discuss the discovery of the widest zone of high-grade mineralisation reported to date at its Achilles site in the southern Cobar Basin, NSW. Recent drilling results from six of nine holes showed significant findings, including 16 metres at 18.5% lead+zinc, 0.4 g/t gold, 31 g/t silver and 0.8% copper from 91 metres. The highest grades were 47.1% lead+zinc, 761 g/t silver, 4.1 g/t gold and 2.5% copper in various intervals of hole A3RC038, the most northern hole drilled. The discovery, now defined by 12 drill holes over half a kilometre, remains open in multiple directions. All 12 holes exhibited varying mineralisation levels, indicating substantial near-surface and depth potential. Notably, hole A3RC038 contained a 16-metre high-grade zone within a broader 24-metre mineralised section, highlighting the Achilles deposit's potential for significant volumes of high-grade mineralisation. Permits for an additional 30 drill holes have been obtained, with drilling set to commence shortly. The new program will include up to 20 reverse circulation holes and 10 diamond core holes aimed at extending the deposit's strike length and depth, as well as exploring nearby targets. A follow-up IP survey will begin next month to map the Achilles Shear Zone. #ProactiveInvestors #AustralianGoldandCopper #ASX #Gold #Silver #Copper #LeadZinc #Polymetallic #CobarBasin #AchillesDeposit #Drilling #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews
