Meet Katarina Fillippelli, CEO of the new VICTORIA COMMUNITY COUNSELING center in Riverside, CA. Hear about her love of helping people through these troubled, turbulent times. And her amazing journey from her native country of Slovakia to her adopted home here in Riverside, CA. How she promptly got a 2nd Masters Degree upon her arrival here in the US. And how she and her partner, Paul Baum, took a big leap of faith to open their new business. Working with the OCIE Small Business Development Center to create a full business plan and secure a lease.

Participating in their free THRIVE startup program that allowed them to qualify for a grant. And everything else needed to bring their dream to reality.

Hear how they then proceeded to find and hire a team of 8 culturally diverse Clinical Therapists. As well as develop new partnerships with 8 Major Insurance Providers and dozens of sub-providers. And promptly secure several government contracts to kickstart their thriving new counseling center in Downtown Riverside. And what it meant to them to find a free, professional resource like the OCIE SBDC to counsel them and guide them on their first entrepreneurial journey. All that (and more) on THE PROFIT TALKS this week. Brought to you by your Orange County/Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (OCIE SBDC). Funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the California Office of the Small Business Advocate.
