Da DNB ba om hjelp til å kartlegge arealbruken i sitt hovedkontor i Bjørvika ble grunnlaget for Telenors smartbygg-satsing BLDNG.ai lagt. Steffan Phillip Thorvaldsen leder det Telenor-eide selskapet og skal bli størst i Norden på dataanalyse og bygningsoptimalisering. Han mener det kastes bort enorme beløp på elendig optimalisering av plass og lokaler i norsk næringsliv.
