In the first few chapters of Genesis God said “it was good” nearly half a dozen times.
Everything He made in creation was good. But then in Chapter 2 of Genesis, God said that something wasn’t good. When He created Adam, God said it wasn’t good for man to be alone. Now God created Adam, and God doesn’t make mistakes so how was this not good? Because God created us to need relationships with others.
It’s not good for us to be alone, isolated or indifferent to community. God uses people to make us more patient, selfless and humble. Relationships are hard for sure, but we show the sacrificial love of God and a practical picture of God’s grace when we do life with others.
How can you make relationships more of a priority in your life? Because it’s not good for us to be alone.
