Did you know that Proverbs 31 Ministries offers a free mobile Bible study app?

You can get it for free, and study one chapter of Scripture a day with a community of hundreds of thousands of people.

We recently studied the book of Job, and it was hard! Day after day we read Job and his friends’ speeches asking a question we all ask, “why does God let bad stuff happen?”

And scholars disagree about how the book of Job really answers this question. But can I share one of my favorite takeaways? Near the end of the book, after chapters of silence, God speaks to Job. In Job’s misery, God does not remain distant or removed. He enters into Job’s suffering.

I hope that brings you comfort today.
