In this episode, John speaks with Christina de Giovanni, CEO and founder of Emerald Magazine. Christina gives us a brief history on her story, how Emerald Magazine started and the importance of cannabis education in such a rapidly growing industry. Tune in to learn more!

An award-winning journalist and media company owner, Christina launched The Emerald Magazine following a 9-month legal battle with Humboldt County revolving around her then-boyfriend’s growth of cannabis. Following this experience of civil injustice, Christina formed The Emerald as an outlet to advocate for the positive uses of cannabis and its decriminalization.

After her mother was diagnosed with cancer and began seeking information on cannabis treatments, Christina reshaped The Emerald Magazine to be a resource for readers to demystify and further de-stigmatize cannabis for non-traditional, new users like her mother.

In the years that have followed, Christina has grown The Emerald into an award-winning publication, spoken at numerous conferences & expos, and established The Emerald brand as a trustworthy ally & voice for the cannabis industry.
