Welcome to the Push to Pass Podcast On Track, additional audio programming from Next Gen Indy and Slipstream Network. Push to Pass On Track will feature interviews from drivers, team owners, and other familiar faces across the paddock from the Verizon INDYCAR series as well as the Mazda Road to Indy, all captured from race weekends around North America.

Next Gen Indy's Ryan Kent Jr. was able to catch up to Iowa Corn 300 winner, Ryan Hunter-Reay.

When asked about his win, Hunter-Reay mentioned that is was an important outcome. The team really needed this performance in many ways. A win for the No. 28 Andretti Autosport team would be useful to help boost morale and help the team finish out strong for the 2015 Verizon INDYCAR series championship.

"Huge win for us and the team. We really needed it in many ways."

Hunter-Reay's hoping for another good performance or two for the end of this season, despite Iowa Speedway being so different to the three remaining tracks. The package that Honda and Andretti Autosport are running this year is difficult to figure out for the DHL sponsored team.

Of the three races left this season, we have a diverse lineup in Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Pocono Speedway, and Sonoma Raceway, as they present the season with a road course, speedway, road course finale. Hunter-Reay also praised Indy car for always having a diverse array of track disciplines; it's what makes it the best racing in the world.

"The diversity is what makes the series. That's what makes this series so special."

As for the new LED position indicators that the series as implemented on the cars, Hunter-Reay is indifferent. He reports that they don't have a significant effect on the drivers. They're good for the sport if fans like them.
