Man this is a real good one right here, I finally got to sit down with my man Deuce and talk some shop. I first met Deuce when he was an on air personality on Austin's Hot 93 in the early to mid 2000's. Hot 93 was a special place, and maybe one of the last commercial urban radio stations to keep it real witht heir community. Many of the cities most important players in the hip hop world worked there (find out who when you listen) and they kept the doors fairly open to Texas talent and more. Since those days Deuce has been active in the community in many ways and has always been an inspiration to many people really trying to do things in the music and entertainment industries and beyond. He is the author of several popular books and is currently working on a book about the music industry and he even announces his big work that he has in the works right here on this podcast. We also talk about the postponement of the Austin Urban Culture Festival, to it's rightful spot in the spring during Texas Relays and oh so much more.
