TRANSFABULOUS - Two trans men from Malaysia embarked on a courageous journey seeking freedom and refuge in Melbourne - Narrm, Australia. Identifying as trans masculine, Ethan and Tiff grew up in different cultural environments, with Tiff in a traditional Chinese household and Ethan in a Muslim household. In their homeland, they faced discrimination and marginalization due to their identity. However, upon their arrival in Melbourne - Narrm, they discovered a society that embraced and included them, providing solace and happiness. We are well aware of the dangers faced by transgender individuals in Malaysia. Conversion therapy is still practiced in the country, and trans individuals may be forcibly subjected to such harmful practices without their consent. In contrast, Australia provides a safer environment for Ethan & Tiff. The laws and societal attitudes in Australia are more inclusive and accepting, offering greater protection and support for transgender individuals.
