In this episode, Shaykh Faid Mohammed Said gives a brief introduction to central keys of approaching the Qur’an and its tafsir (explanation). He first explains the importance of connecting with the Qur’an, the Word of God, and learning it. Shaykh Faid highlights that some key purposes of the Qur’an is to make our lives easy, good and guide to absolute happiness. He then gives a brief history of how the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), learned the Qur’an, preserved it, and developed an understanding for it. From there, he explains, the scholars of Islam have carried forth and preserved this knowledge over the centuries till our time.
