Our host, Jillian Foster, speaks with Ruby about how her book leverages a global perspective using academic research, while turning it into a more accessible discussion. This episode digs into that and more as Ruby shares how womanhood is manipulated by power, the implications of focusing on “purity”, and what happens when white women comply to white feminism. Ruby’s work and this conversation reminds us to re-examine the notion that all of our issues matter but, at this moment, some issues matter more than others.
