Am Samstag, den 7.1.23, fand in Freiburg eine Demonstration in Gedenken an Oury Jalloh statt, an der mehrere Hundert Personen teilnahmen. Vor genau 18 Jahren verbrannte der aus Eritrea stammende Mensch in Polizeigewahrsam in Dessau. Mehrere unabhängige Gutachten schlossen aus, er hätte seine Matratze selbst entzündet. Entgegen der Position von Polizei und Staatsanwaltschaft geht die Initiative in Gedenken an Oury Jalloh, wie auch die Demonstrant*innen in Freiburg, deswegen von einem Mord aus.
