For the inaugural episode of Radio EVA, Equal Voice Action Board and Family Advisor Community members Star Paschal and Ernest Johnson joined the podcast to discuss Ernest’s work with the New Orleans-based social justice organization Ubuntu Village.

Ernest discussed the transformative, community-based mission of Ubuntu Village, the organization’s new family-driven report, Parents Fighting for Youth Justice, and the need for humane, family-centered reforms in the juvenile justice system.

Ernest and Star also discussed takeaways and case studies to share with the broader Equal Voice Action community, and they talked about the value of the EVA network in connecting with and lifting up the voices of fellow members and communities across the country.
