In this interview, Christopher Lowry, Associate Professor of Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado Boulder, discusses his research on the gut microbiome's effect on mental health. Lowry was invited to a project launched by Peter Templeton, founder of the William Templeton Foundation for Young People's Mental Health and executive director at the Insitute for Manufacturing's Engage program in the Cambridge University Engineering Department, to "innovate early interventions for depression in young people," as originally reported by CU Boulder Today.
