Op18 september 2012 is in besloten kring de Doos van Doe Maar gepresenteerd, met alle werk van deze meest populaire Nederlandse band aller tijden. In deze doos o.a. een Cd met de opnamen van de Rumbones uit 1977, afkomstig uit het archief van de VPRO radio.
Eindredacteur Wim Noordhoek van de Suite wist Doe Maar al in een vroeg stadium te strikken voor zijn programma. Op 1 februari 1980 kondigt presentator Jan Donkers in De Suite een optreden aan van een Brabants bandje, zich ‘Doe Maar’ noemend. Doe Maar bestaat dan uit Ernst Jansz, Jan Hendriks, Piet Dekker en Karel Copier, en ze spelen vier liedjes: Wees niet bang voor mijn lul (Jansz), Je liet me staan (Dekker), Hé hé (Jansz), Regen (Jansz), en eindigen met een wervelend instrumentaal nummer.
