Ethelbert Nevin

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

Do you know who this fellow is? Hint: His most popular song is “The Rosary.” That’s right! He’s Ethelbert Woodbridge Nevin, who gets his very own birthday segment on this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records. Nevin also composed “Mighty Lak’ A Rose” which will start off the show, sung by Vaughn De Leath. In other segments, we’ll celebrate the birthdays of James Sharpe and Frank Black. We’ll also have some songs about ewes, and in an effort to bring some class to the show, a segment featuring some high-brow, sophisticated classical music. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be magically transported back to an earlier–and we think a better–musical era.

ENJOY THE SHOW!
