Maureen joins me on this week's podcast as we wrap up our short series on walking in forgiveness. She has asked me what I thought about addressing it from the standpoint of forgiving ourselves. This is so important because so many of us struggle with dealing with our own sin before the Lord, and we often beat ourselves up continually about our past sins – especially when we have a limited understanding of Christ, death, burial, and resurrection. And when I say limited, I mean, we understand it, and we know we are saved - we know God has forgiven all our sins past, present, and future. We know there's nothing we can do to earn God's acceptance– yet, even with this knowledge, we can become stagnant about the freedom in forgiveness. We know we've been forgiven, but we struggle sometimes in our experience. There are reasons for this - one of them being that Satan is the accuser of the brethren and he loves to condemn us for our past sins. Sometimes we're doing just fine and then suddenly we feel condemned all over again.

This is not God's way. He wants us to deal with our sins honestly, so that we can walk in forgiveness and experience His love and grace.
