After the holidays I admit that it took me a good 3 weeks of recovery in order to find my rhythm again, during the last week of December and 1st 2 weeks of January I struggled with feelings of disappointment, victimhood, depression and even anger. I actually felt all the other feelings of the spectrum as well leaving me quite tired and confused about how to get out of the slump that I was in. I quickly realized after I forced myself to go to the beach in order to connect with Gaia (mother nature) that I put all of my self-care rituals of daily exercise, meditation and self-care on the back burner, completely depleting me, so much so that even my physical body had had enough and was very sick for 3 weeks, I put others 1st and the idea of creating a nice holiday for everyone 1st. This disruption of my rituals that fuel me sent my system into havoc, however, it wasn’t until the day that I forced myself to the beach for me to recognize this and to also remember that we came here for the human experience, that means the full spectrum of colorful feelings including the not so nice and pretty feelings. This thought was confirmed on a particular grumpy day when I took a nap and woke up to a beautiful double rainbow, reminding me that there is no rainbow without the rain, we must feel and experience the darkness and shadow so that we may enjoy the light evermore so when it shines.
This is great episode if you are feeling the heaviness of the shadow as I give you my own personal petty details of everyday life that might you might relate to
