In this episode, your host Amy Milne gets real with Seanna Thomas, Food and Nutrition Consultant and Host of Meal Prep Mondays on CP24 Breakfast in Ontario, Canada. She is a mom of three and passionate about helping parents, families and young athletes make easy, nutritious and budget-friendly meals. As busy event planners, we've all had those days where we're run off our feet and barely have time to grab a muffin, a bag of chips and a slice of leftover pizza - sound familiar? Well, we can do better! Seanna gives us some simple, yet effective ways to best fuel our bodies while setting up and on event day so that we have the energy and focus to last for the long haul. She also reminds us that eating the right foods post event is so important to help our bodies recover and repair. And don't worry, you don't have to give up all of your favourite treats. Seanna is a firm believer that we CAN have it all when it comes to our nutrition, and teaches us how to get the right balance. Seanna dishes out a lot of 'food for thought' around how we can better feed not only ourselves, but also our staff, volunteers and participants so that everyone is feeling their best!
