I’m always worried about my listeners staying up late at night to listen to my podcasts – and falling asleep by them…and there are some serious topics there that I wouldn’t want you falling asleep to– so I decided to create DreamReads, stories that will lull you to sleep, that won’t have you worrying about the world and it’s problems. And in the process maybe just enlighten and entertain you with some of my favorite books of all time, by some of my favorite authors.
In this episode I'm introducing the original Dracula, written by Bram Stoker and published in 1897.
In the remote reaches of Transylvania stands the foreboding castle of Count Dracula, a figure of both fascination and terror. Jonathan Harker, an English solicitor, arrives to aid the Count with legal matters, only to find himself ensnared in a labyrinth of eerie occurrences and unsettling discoveries. Despite Dracula's charismatic facade, Harker senses a sinister undercurrent.
So, Take a deep breath, close your eyes, relax completely and enjoy….
