On February 11th 2024, a shooting occurred when Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, when 36 year old biological male went by the name of Geneses Moreno entered the church accompanied by his seven-year old son at 1:53pm CST, seven minutes before a Spanish languages Sunday afternoon service, and began shooting shortly after. MAKING SENSE OF THE SENSE-LESS: Drawing the line between sin and mental illness can be confusing, but it shouldn't be that difficult. Was the Houston church shooting sin or mental illness? TODAY, I am going to show you that the actions Houston Shooter was was "sin" before any level of mental illness. If not careful we will categorize all sinful things as mental illness. I'm not discounting mental illness, but the truth is that what we are experiencing in great part throughout the United States and around the world is actually SIN that leads to despicable acts of violence, harm and death...and we we deem this MENTAL ILLNESS.
