This week on "Rebel Hearts": Kristie talks with Healthy Gut Girl, Catalina Martone. Catalina is the host of the ITunes podcast "Stuff Your Doctor Should Know", the creator of the gutcentric program the "Total Gut Makeover" as well as a Holistic Health Practitioner and a Chef! She teaches people how to create delicious, healing probiotic foods, how to seal and heal the gut with nutrition, and how to thrive! Catalina shares how she grew up having severe health challenges that were treated the conventional way, covering up the symptoms, but not healing the root of the problem. Looking for an answer, she found her way into holistic health and healing, and discovered that the root of all illness and imbalances begins in the gut. In the interview she talks about her findings and educates us on what we can do to naturally restore the balance in our digestive system. She talks about the difference between pro-biotics and pre-biotics, nutritional healing, and the microbial system of our body. Catalina also talks about how a healthy gut affects our emotions. She talks about the "gut brain" and how the neurons in our digestive system affect the way we feel. Find out how the lack of good gut bacteria and toxicity can affect the brain, and show up as depression or anxiety, and what you can do to heal this. In a world where we are constantly being exposed to toxins, from pesticides, to toxins in the water and the air all the way to vaccinations, it is so important to strengthen our digestive system and support the body's natural detox function. Learn how you can take back your health and start thriving!
