Kim Arrington and I are on a walk up the Couch Mountain Trail at Duke Forest. It’s Saturday, November 27th. There are a sea of fall leaves beneath our feet. She has fallen, gotten up, and hiked anyway, metaphor for what happens when we fall. We have invited our deceased fathers and their lessons on our hike. Our children and our mothers and other folks’ feelings come along for the freedom walk too. We talk reconciliation and creating boundaries without punishment as unconditional love. We talk of accepting nothing less than the reciprocity of love and respect from our love circles. Join us on this trek through the woods that is a spiritual trek through the cosmos of Black Womanhood. Kim Arrington and I have known each other through many iterations as poets, writing teachers, good friends with parallel artistic and spiritual journeys. Kim is currently a life couch and can be reached on Twitter, Instagram and on Facebook @KimArrington. Connect with me at my website ZeldaLockhart.com . Hit me up on Instagram @zelda.lockhart or check out my non-profit HerStoryStudios.com where Black Women self-define, heal and liberate through story and nature. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/zelda-lockhart/support
