Jesus uses negative examples in his parables to contrast how disciples should invest in God’s Kingdom and the dangers of living as a Pharisee. The negative examples in His parables remind us that we can learn many things from trials and tribulations. We don’t need perfect circumstances to grow, we need proper focus on God’s Kingdom.
