Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
This week I have finally completed Yakuza 0 and it is the subject of the newest Video Game Book Club segment. This is a series I have long wanted to get into but have just never found the time and eventually it became too difficult to get motivated to start as the sequels just kept piling up. However, that changed a number of years ago when this prequel was released to rave reviews across the board. Not only was this supposed to be one of the best entires in the series, it was also made to be an easy on ramp for newbies to the series and even Yakuza veterans recommended starting into the franchise with this game first. So I finally opted to just dive in and make it part of the show! Tune in to hear how my first Yakuza game went and what I thought of it, having no prior experience with this series beforehand.
