Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.
For this new edition of the Roll For Initiative segment, I am pitting 2 popular play styles against each other to determine what is best, or at least best for you. The adventure path is by far the most well known mode of play today, but the sandbox style is what launched this hobby and is responsible for most of the advancements this hobby has made to this day. There are genuine reasons to pick one style over the other, and certainly a lot of room for more debate about this, but I have made my pick here. These styles of play both have their strengths and weaknesses that are apparent when compared, but not always in the way you might think. Tune in to hear my preference and get an idea why you might share that preference or prefer the other.

If you would like to reach out, you can reach me at redroostersgamingcoop@gmail.com - I would love to hear from you!
