Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.
For Indie RPG month, I wanted to try to make a good curated list of games to check out, but when diving into it, there are just so many indie TTRPGs out there to choose from and they cover almost every kind of genre or style you could ask for. The difficulty is always trying to sort out what systems to play when you are looking for something new. So I decided to take to the internet to cast my ritual of scrying and distill some games worth looking at. I found that a large percentage of games are fantasy based and a large amount of those are iterations of D&D. I pulled the most interesting and intriguing games out, as well as comments from the larger community about these games, and tried to sort them to a list of ideas you can look into. Tune in to see if any of these games appeal to you!
