During his earthly ministry, Jesus spent almost a quarter of his teaching time to talk about money. That's a lot. If Christ considered the topic so worth talking about, why is it that we tend to shy away and guard ourselves against talking and teaching about money and possessions? Christ declares that where our treasure is, there our heart will be also. Therefore our money and our hearts are connected, and if one is out of line, the other will bear the fruit of that misalignment. Having been bought and loved by a generous Christ, we are called to live lives of uncommon generosity. A call to the Kingdom is a call to live generously.
