At a glance, Josh Oreo is a rejuvenator of 90’s era Brit-rock and of literary merit, he is a rarity apprenticed to England’s Morrissey, and is somewhat a traditionalist; being dedicated to balancing a musical landscape heavy with homogeneous cookie-cutter albums and the ethics behind them, Josh Oreo cites Kristeen Young’s bold artistry, Smoking Popes unflinching vulnerability and Liam Gallagher’s self-assurance as his influences. Having battled and beaten both two brain surgeries and anorexia, the themes of Josh Oreo are survival, despair and indignation. Such themes validating the distorted guitars and indomitable drums. With his eye on assembling the players for some live shows in 2020 /21 and further recording, Josh Oreo is raring to make his mark.
