In this episode of the Reformation Fellowship Podcast, Justin Schell has a conversation with Dave Kiehn and Phil Newton of the Pillar Network.

The Pillar Network is a community of SBC and International Baptist Churches that are doctrinally aligned, missionally driven, and committed to equipping, planting, and revitalizing churches, together.

Dave serves Pillar by overseeing their various regions across the globe, helping to encourage and support their regional leaders. Dave also serves as the Lead Pastor of Park Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC, where he has served since July 1st, 2012. He graduated with a B.A. in Intellectual History from the University of Pennsylvania and received his Masters of Divinity and Ph.D. in North American Missiology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to his beautiful wife, Ellen, and they have three children, Elizabeth, John David, and Olivia.

Phil oversees pastoral care and mentoring for Pillar. Phil began South Woods Baptist Church, Memphis, TN, in 1987 and concluded his 35 years of pastoral leadership in May 2022. He served as pastor of three other churches in Mississippi and Alabama prior to moving to Memphis, as well as serving on two church staff as a college student. He received his education at the University of Mobile (B.A.), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Fuller Theological Seminary (D.Min.), and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ph.D.). Both natives of Alabama, he and his wife Karen met in Mobile, AL, and married in 1975. They have five children and six grandchildren.
