You Are Worthy (2 Thessalonians 1:1-12)

Because justice is reserved for the last day, those who are deemed worthy of heavenly glory are counted worthy to suffer for Jesus in this life.

Monday—Can you think of any time in your life where your expectations weren’t met? How did you respond? Did you question your expectations? Why/why not?

Tuesday—Have you ever been tempted to question whether or not you belong to God because of the circumstances in your life? Why is this so easy to do? What does it feel like?

Wednesday—How does knowing that God will set all things right on the Last Day affect your expectations for what life will be like until then? Do you expect things to get better before then? Why/why not?

Thursday—Read Acts 5:41. Why did the disciples rejoice? Why did they count suffering for Jesus a privilege? Do you?

Friday—What does it mean to pray that “our God may make us worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power”? (v. 11) Is this your prayer?
