She has coached leaders at renowned companies including Google, American Airlines, Tinder, General Motors, Nike, and Dow Jones. A dual US-UK citizen, Octavia was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by the Queen in recognition of her work.

Octavia is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, where she leads the Gender Equity network in the United States.

Octavia told me if you lose your job or are laid off, "the first thing I would tell anyone to do is to take time to process how they feel, whether it's frustration, anger, upset, confusion … talk to somebody as you are doing that, I think that's very important, don't keep it all inside … maybe after a couple of days you can start to think about what you do next and some of that will be dependent on the time frame that you have in terms of your own personal finances and what you need to do potentially in the time that you have to find your next opportunity".
